Meet SFG – Lori Borden
Friday = perfect day for #MeetSFG. Over the last few weeks we’ve had the pleasure of introducing you to some of our more senior employees. Today, we get the opportunity to introduce you to one of our newest team members. Lori is finishing up her first year here at SFG, as she started her journey with us last October. After reading about the job, she decided SFG would be a perfect fit for her skills and interests.
Lori is one of our paraplanners. Her daily job activities include gathering and organizing clients financial data while working with the advisors to create and implement plans that are customized for each individual client. Lori loves details and specifically putting the pieces of a retirement plan together so that it matches each client’s’ specific need.
Lori’s career at SFG is full steam ahead. Lori’s work ethic, willingness to contribute and passion to serve our clients and their needs have made her an excellent addition to the team.
Now let’s find out a little more about Lori outside the office.
You’re happiest when…?
“I’m spending time with family and friends.”
We have noticed that your office chair is a little different than everyone elses… Tell us a little about your unconventional office chair.
“A co-worker brought her ball to the office and let me try it, that was eight years ago. I think bouncing on it all day helps keep me young at heart.”
Now that you have been at SFG for almost one whole year, what has been your favorite office tradition?
“I like that everyone tries to eat lunch at the same time, it’s nice to sit with co-workers and have non-work related conversations.”
What is your favorite quote?
“The grass isn’t greener on the other side of the fence, it’s greener where you water it.”
Best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
“Just keep putting one foot in front of the other and you can get through anything.”
