Meet SFG – Dawn Ring
After quite a long hiatus, we are excited to return with another installment of #MeetSFG! This time, we are thrilled to introduce you to Dawn Ring, who joined the SFG team in January of 2019.
After graduating from Shepherd University in 2000, Dawn began her career in the social work field, where she found her love and passion for working with seniors. For the last two decades, she has been dedicated to providing support, education, and resources to seniors and their family members. Currently in her role at SFG, Dawn serves as a licensed Medigap agent for MD, PA, and WV, assisting Medicare eligible individuals by assessing their needs and helping them find the health coverage that best suits their future plans.
Her message to our clients: “Any individual who will be turning 65 and has questions related to their Medicare benefits, Medicare supplement policies, and prescription drug plans can call me so that I may assist them in reviewing their options and enrolling in the desired benefits/coverage. The process can be overwhelming, and I am here to help!”
Now that you’ve learned a bit about her work passions, let’s share a little about Dawn’s life outside of the office:
You’re happiest when…?
“I am happiest when I am spending time with my family at the beach.”
Favorite Quote/Bible verse?
“I will walk by faith even when I cannot see. – 2 Corinthians 5:7”
What do you like to do in your free time?
“I have two amazing children who are involved in sports, so much of my free time consists of taking them to and from practices and watching them play the sports they are passionate about.”
Any hobbies? Favorite movie?
“I enjoy flower gardening and reading as my hobbies. I am a big fan of Nicholas Sparks’ books and one of my favorite movies is one of his books made into a movie ‘A Walk to Remember.’”
Best piece of advice you’ve been given?
“As I child I was taught the Golden Rule: ‘Treat others as you would like to be treated.’ I think that principle is still so important today and is the best advice I have been given.”
